Join the NODC for a Detroit River Cruise Saturday 08.22.15 noon at Diamond Jack’s River Cruise, Rivard Plaza Dock, 1340 Atwater St, Detroit, MI 48207, tickets are $10 if you R.S.V.P in time to claim one of the 14 tickets we have bought in advance.  Normal prices are approx. $15.  The two hour tour begins at 1 pm.

Tues., May 5 is Election Day – a special election for Proposal 1  Polls are open from 7 am to 8 pm
NODC fundraising event: “Cinco de Mayo” on May 5 at The Burning Oak Smokehouse, Oxford, 6:30 – 8:30 p.m.
Please join us for a Cinco de Mayo fundraiser and social hour at The Burning Oak Smokehouse, 595 N. Lapeer Rd., Oxford, 48371, Tuesday, May 5, from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. You’ll enjoy a delicious nacho buffet that also includes fountain beverages – all for only $20 per adult; a cash bar will also be available. You won’t want to miss guest speakers: MI House Democratic Leader Tim Greimel, Radio Host Tony Trupiano, 2014 Attorney General Candidate Mark Totten – and other speakers to be announced. The event is open to the public, so please bring family and friends to enjoy what’s sure to be a great social event – and an opportunity to help our club support 2016 election efforts. We look forward to seeing you!


Sat. May 5 pm – 9 pm is the Michigan Democrats 2015 Jefferson-Jackson Dinner to Honor Congressman Dingell, Senator Levin; Will Feature Special Guest Debbie Wasserman Schultz.  Tickets are $175 ea.

  • Wed. April 15, 6:30 pm – 8:45 pm – North Oakland Democratic Club Monthly Meeting at Clarkston Union Bar & Kitchen 54 S Main St. Clarkston, MI 48346.  – Political Discourse Night – we will be having a conversation on a number of topics, including the Proposal 1 Special Election.
  • Sat. April 18 10:00 am – 11:30 am – NODC Adopt-A-Road pickup on Brown Rd between Joslyn Rd and Baldwin Rd.  We meet at the Costco Parking lot (400 Brown Rd).  Safety vests, bags, and “picking sticks” provided.  Please bring work gloves and wear sturdy shoes.

NODC July 4 Parade

  • Please join us in the Clarkston Independence Day Parade we start at St. Daniel Church parking lot, 7010 Valley Park Dr and end at Renaissance High School 6558 Waldon Rd. (1 mile).   •  At 2:45 pm (appox.) please join us a Clintonwood Park and walk with Mark Schauer as he greets voters and talks about his campaign for Governor!  We will meet in the parking lot of Clintonwood Park, 6000 Clarkston Rd, Clarkston, Michigan 48348



NODC July 2014 Mtg

  • Next NODC meeting, Wed, July 16 6:30 pm to 8:30 pm at Italia Gardens 1076 S Lapeer Rd, Oxford Charter Township, MI 48371 (just south of Drahner Rd).  Guest speakers include Frank Houston – Chair, Oakland County Democratic Party, Ken Thomas candidate MI House District 51, and Joanna VanRaaphorst – candidate MI House Dist. 45.  Please bring canned and packaged foods for the Oxford/Orion FISH food pantry.  Candidates welcome!


  •  There is still time to become a write-in candidate for Precinct Delegate!  Download and print this form and take it to your Township (or City) Clerk before August 1.  The election is August 4 at your local precinct.  You may be able to write yourself in as Precinct Delegate!  Let your precinct friends know but if there is an opening, you can pretty much elect yourself.  Don’t know your precinct?  Check it out here:
