By a unanimous vote, the NODC endorsed Kande Ngalamulume for Congress.

Kande Ngalamulume kicked off his bid for Congress, 8th District, in Clarkston on Thursday, May 6th in the heart of Clarkston, in front of the Clarkston News.

NODC fundraising event: “Cinco de Mayo” on May 5 at G’s Pizzeria 6:30 p.m. – 8:30 p.m. Please join us for a Cinco de Mayo fundraiser, silent auction, and social hour at G’s Pizzeria, 2775 S. Lapeer Rd., Lake Orion, 48360, Wednesday, May 5th from 6:30 p.m. – 8:30 p.m.

You’ll enjoy a delicious “all you can eat” pizza buffet that also includes salad, breadsticks and fountain beverages – all for only $15 per adult, $10 for children 13-18, and $5 for children 12 and under. A cash bar will also be available.

Thanks to Senator Gretchen Whitmer for visiting our North Oakland Democratic Club at the Clansman Gaelic Pub, in Lake Orion on Tuesday, December 15th to talk about her candidacy for Michigan Attorney General.

Jason Bauer, Operations Manager and Political Director of the Oakland County Democratic Party discussed OCDP accomplishments in 2009 and goals for 2010. Thanks to Jason for helping us with our last mailing.

Thanks to Francine Melotti and Jody LaPointe for working on our food drive. “Grandpa Bob” at Oxford/Orion FISH asked that we convey his heartfelt thanks to the NODC for our generous donation. We ended up with about 50 lbs. of non-perishable food — and that averages to about two pounds per person who attended our holiday meeting. Not bad at all! NODC member kindness and generosity is appreciated, especially during such tough times in our community. We would like to suggest that we ask our members to bring food donations to every meeting.
