– Please join us for our annual spring fundraiser featuring special guests Congressman Dan Kildee, Jay Kaplan (staff attorney for the ACLU’s LGBT Project since its founding in 2001), Suzanna Shkreli (2016 candidate for MI 8th Congressional District) and Andy Meisner (Oakland County Treasurer)

$20.00 per person includes a pizza and salad buffet and good times with your local Democratic Club! Proceeds to be donated to local Democratic candidates and causes.

April 2017 Events

When: April 19th at 6:30 p.m.
Where: Clarkston Union Basement

Come and join us for our April meeting! Our speakers will include Charles Gaba, described by Mother Jones as the “go-to guy for Obamacare enrollment” and by the LA Times as the “indispensable tracker of ACA rates and policies”.

Ken Fouty, the Community Outreach Coordinator for Lutheran Social Services of Michigan will discuss his agency’s role in assisting refugees.

Emily Duthinh will be speaking to us about the Indivisible group’s efforts to support local, undocumented workers who are being unjustly harassed and deported because of Trump’s xenophobic immigration policies and how you can be involved. Hope to see you there!

Please join us for our monthly meeting to discuss local and statewide activism efforts and opportunities. Our speakers will include Lisa Kiefer of Count MI Vote to discuss redistricting efforts and how we can be involved, Rebecca Gray of the Michigan’s People Campaign to discuss training for safe and effective protesting, Courtney Harrison of the Women’s March on Washington-Michigan to discuss opportunities for action and Nicole Breadon, co-chair of North Oakland Indivisible Team to discuss upcoming events. If you have any events you would like to talk to the club about, please come and share them with us!
